Neemach Mata Temple

Neemach Mata Temple, dedicated to goddess Neemach Mata, is a beautiful temple in the midst of nature. Located in the hills of the Dewali, on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, this temple provides a stunning and uninterrupted view of the entire city of Udaipur. It is believed that the stone idol of the presiding deity has a connection with the Neem tree, holy tree in Hindu mythology, and thus derives its name. Apart from the Neemach Mata idol, a small idol of Ganesha also adorns the temple complex. Devotees can either take the stairways from the foot of the Dewali Hill, or take the 900 meter long uphill slope to reach the temple. Most hiking and trekking enthusiasts take the second route as it provides breathtaking views of the famous lakes of Udaipur. Due to the restriction on entry of the vehicles, tourists can climb the uphill without any interference. According to veteran trekkers, people interested in covering the slope should do that during early morning hours when the temperature is bearable. On the trip to Neemach Mata temple, visitors must witness the breathtaking sunset.
Bohra Ganesh Temple

This 350 years old temple is one of the most revered religious institutions of Udaipur. Dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the temple is frequently visited by the devotees. It is believed the deity fulfills wishes of the devotees, and therefore many people who come here submit a written petition to the god hoping for a resolution. The idol of the lord is standing in a dancing position, which is unique to the place. The architecture of the temple is very charming, which instills a sense of calm and serenity on the minds of the visitors. Accompanying garden area, decorated with trees and decorative flowering plants, enhance the beauty of the temple complex. During Ganesh Chathurti, the temple receives a large number of devotees. Besides that, a huge number of visitors come to the temple during the Annakoot or Govardhan Puja, celebrated in October ? November. During the festival, the presiding deity decorated with beautiful jewelry and floral decorations and is offered a huge platter of delicacies (consisting of 56 items). Later on, a Maha Arati (ceremonial offering of light) is conducted by the head priest in the honor of the deity.
Karni Mata Temple

Karni Mata Temple is dedicated to goddess Karni Mata is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Durga. Historical records point out that the temple was built by Maharana Karan Singh in the mid 17th century. The temple was frequently visited by the royal family and is still revered by them. Located in the Machla Magra Hills, the temple gives the visitors a stunning view of the different lakes and popular landmarks surrounding the city. The architecture of the temple represents the beautiful features of Rajputana architecture, mixed with the Hindu doctrine of Vastushastra. The pillars and pyramidal spire are beautifully carved, with local motifs. During the latest renovations, the infrastructure of the temple complex was upgraded making it easier for the visitors to reach the venue. Among the latest additions, the 387-meter ropeway was highly appreciated by the visitors. Devotes can also use the slope uphill or the stairways to reach the temple complex. Introduction of rest shelters and viewing points along the stairways makes the uphill climb for the visitors more comfortable.
