The Haldighati was the historical place .The widespread terra firma, towards the south west of Nathdwara, this historical site witnessed the great legendry battle foughtin 1576 AD between Maharana Pratap and the Emperor Akbar. The huge landscape that was apparently covered with blood evokes a chill in the spine till date and envelopes a feel of wistfulness, this was the place where the heroic Chetak with his dedicated reliability towards his gallant master proved his worth by co-operating till his last breath.A Chhatri with delicate white marble is dedicated both to the stubborn hero and his loyal charger, is note worthy. The most interesting thing and the tourist attraction of this place is the Jeep Safari.
